If you plan on going into medicine, you need to know right now, that not all of your patients will be appreciative, communicative, reasonable, or even NORMAL.

Most patients are great, but there are also plenty of odd, demanding, impatient, inappropriate, or otherwise difficult people who it will be your job to help.  Don’t let it scare you — just understand that you’ll need to get good at handling them.  It’s one of Paul’s favorite topics, and stories from his work abound in today’s episode along with a few insights on how to handle them.
