That little area actually looks rather cozy! And I would have never thought of a book stand, but that is a fantastic idea… one I will have to steal next year. 🙂 My back does get sore leaning over books for hours on end.
So is your program technically full-time or part-time? It’s really interesting to see how every school is different, where you guys are in class intermittently and I believe my program will basically be Monday-Friday all the time.
Yeah, I broke down and got the book holder because I got tired of trying to hold up my big Cecil book with my hands (it’s heavy), and because it’s hard to go back and forth between the laptop and the book - it’s just easier to prop it up.
Our program is 8-5 on the weeks when we are here (average of about 8 days per month during the first year, 4 per month the second. So I guess it’s part time. But it’s very intense when we’re here, and then we spend a lot of our own time with our books when we aren’t. I think they do it that way in part because UCD seems to require more clinical experience for admission.
