Interview Coaching

Succeed with honest, constructive, one-on-one help

If you have a PA school interview, congratulations are definitely in order. But don’t celebrate just yet; it takes work to adequately prepare. With so much riding on this important event, you need to know where you’re weak, where you’re strong, and how to leverage this knowledge maximize your chances.

Why you need interview coaching

With Inside PA Training’s interview coaching, you will know your part – how to impress them and show them your unique gifts – while being ready for theirs. What are their concerns, what do they want to hear, and how can you reassure them in a genuine, convincing way? With coaching, all of these can be prepared for so that no matter what happens, you will be ready to leave a great impression.

Meet your interview coach

Paul Kubin, PA-C is the publisher of Inside PA Training and lead coach. He has helped students of all types to achieve their goal of entering the physician assistant profession. He has served as for consultant the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics on PA careers, and his articles on the profession are read more than 1 million times a year. How Paul can help you

Here are some of things Paul can help you to do:

  • Overcome anxiety and project confidence
  • Go beyond the standard answers that everyone uses and admissions
    committees look out for
  • Play to your strengths and even create new ones from your weaknesses
  • Determine how well a school “fits” your needs. After all, you’re interviewing them just as much as they’re interviewing you!
  • Deal with curve-ball questions and special situations such as group interviews or the newer Mini Multiple Interview (MMI) format
  • What to do after the interview

What you get

We’ve done interview coaching many ways and over time have used the feedback that we’ve received to make it as efficient and effective as it can be. To do so, here’s the breakdown of what you get:

  • A one-hour, detailed review of your application (CASPA or non-CASPA)
  • Two hours of live coaching via Skype or phone. During session 1, we identify your interview strengths and weaknesses, familiarize you with the interview process, and discuss how to deal with specific types of interview questions. Session 2 is a one-hour live mock interview with feedback. It is usually scheduled 2-7 days after session 1 so that you have time to practice and prepare.
  • A written summary of key points to work on after our work is done. This helps you focus on weak areas between our work and interview day.

The start-to-finish cost for this service is $279, less than $95 per hour. Although we are available for additional hours of coaching beyond the above, most applicants tell us that they feel well prepared without any additional time.

How to get started

Click here to get started. You will be taken the Payapl invoice. Once paid, just email Paul with your login credentials for your CASPA application. Note: we used to have you send a .pdf file of your appliation, but as of 2015, CASPA does not offer an option to create one. Your login credentials will be kept private and no changes will be made on your CASPA application.

That’s it!
